Compatibility with standards

This website has been designed and programmed following WEI (Web Accessibility Initiative, www.w3.org/wai) initiatives, which establish a set of international standards for creating website content that is accessible to everyone.

Accessibility Guidelines

We have been taken several measures to make the website more accessible, including:

  • Logical order of presentation of items on screen.
  • Simplified browsing system, free from drop-down menus.
  • Descriptive text on images.
  • Keyboard links to main options.

Links

Links with text that does not clearly describe their destination include title attributes with an explanation.

Where possible, links have been written to provide meaning out of context. Some browsers (such as JAWS, Home Page Reader, Lynx and Opera) may extract the list of links from the current site and enable users to browse them from that list. Taking this into account, the links have not been duplicated and, if they are, it is because they access the same content.

There are no javascript pseudo-links. All links can be followed on any browser, even if javascript has been disabled.

Keyboard shortcuts

Most browsers support the possibility of going directly to specific links by pressing certain key combinations (access keys) defined in the website.

The use of access keys is determined by the browser:

  • Internet Explorer: ALT + atajo+ ENTER
  • Firefox: ALT + Mayúsculas + atajo (in older versions ALT + atajo)
  • Opera: Mayúsculas + ESC + atajo

Our portal also uses the following access keys:

  • 0 Accessibility
  • 1 Homepage
  • 2 Skip navigation menu
  • 3 Site map
  • 4 Search
  • 6 Up
  • 8 Legal Notice
  • 9 Contact
